Logs! http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/r74vgngbi2srardq/

I missed our first Beth attempt, so these logs are more flattering than they should be.

Beth and Ryolith were pretty smooth, so I'm going to skip talking about them.

So Baleroc!

Loosing tanks was a big problem and losing Crystal-Huggers was a moderate problem.

I dug through the logs to see the damage on Crystal-Huggers. Usually we can heal up to 12-15 stacks, no problem. Deaths were occurring at around 10-12 stacks and with one possible exception, Tormented wasn't the issue. So the finger tends to point to us healers...

I looked through D's death logs and it does seem like lack of heals are a problem. (On many deaths, its not even that heals are too weak, it's that they're non-existant)

On a personal level, I was having a lot of trouble hearing what was going on because of too much chatter on vent. There are 3 things going on at once: crystal-hugger switching, tank switching and healer rotating. When everyone talks at once and says too many words, us healers can't hear where to anticipate damage. And by the time we figure it out through our frames, it's too late.

Recommendation #1

Tanks and crystal-huggers should come up with short codes (like our "5 sec" and "tank" codes). Perhaps like:

Crystal huggers: "Crystal" (when taking a crystal) and "10" (when 10 stacks are reached)

Tanks: "Take it" (when you want the other tank to take it) and "Taunting" (when taunting)

Codes would eliminate excess talk such as "I'm at 10 stacks, I'm going to step away now, person X will you come and replace me"

Recommendation #2

Due to the nature of druid healing, Scotty was proving really useful healing Crystal-Huggers at the expense of tank healing. Which leads me to suggest that Scotty stay on the dps (unless absolutely necessary) while Thes and I rotate on the tanks.

For Scotty:

As promised, I looked up a few other druids on this fight. Overall, their spell usage seems to be roughly similar to your own, which, I know, isn't helpful at all. But if you want to comb through logs yourself, I pulled out a few stats:

You:
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/r74vgngbi2srardq/details/2/?enc=bosses&boss=53494
Top Spells for healing done: Regrowth > Rejuv > Lifebloom
Top Casts: Regrowth > Lifebloom > Wild Growth

Your spell choices and healing done per spell are roughly the same from fight to fight, with Healing Touch taking some priority in healing on some fights and Wild Growth not being cast so often on certain attempts.

Other druids:
I picked 4 druids that (I assume) come from guilds similar to us. I dug out one druid from a more competitive guild in case you wanted to see that. You might like hearing that it was very hard to find a druid from a top guild for Baleroc. I had to try a lot of logs before I found one. So it's not just you!

Druid 1:
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-4sxqs651ysetqe1l/details/2/?s=3058&e=3384
108 stacks

98 stacks
Top Spell for healing done: Lifebloom > Regrowth > Rejuv
Top casts: Regrowth > Lifebloom

Druid 3: (Guildie of druid 2)
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/v9c1qv43kxsnzbn4/details/8/?s=1597&e=1923

Overall dps on Baleroc last night - http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/r74vgngbi2srardq/sum/damageDone/?enc=bosses&boss=53494

Dps on our kill - http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/wo2hxzauphgln3c3/sum/damageDone/

It does seem considerably lower, even considering deaths (the more deaths, the longer the fight, the longer the fight the lower the calculated dps is).

I dug out the longest kills on World of Logs and their dps generally hovers are around 20k, with a couple of people per team being. If anyone wants to check out those guilds' dps:

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-78kjqi4n5cwo45re/sum/damageDone/?s=3182&e=3570 (recent long kill)

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/wnozuecy0zoukc86/sum/damageDone/?s=12579&e=12976 (longest recorded kill - from July 12)

http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-1yidl5jquwl9kgg2/sum/damageDone/?s=1944&e=2334 (long kill - from Aug 12)

DPS is too low. Everyone should be at the 20k + range on a patchwerk style fight. The only moving is to the crystals which spawn in predicatble areas. I know some people have good DPS meters, but what really matters is damage done. The numbers some guys pull was doable in t11 Normal mode, but with our fair share of 378 pieces, our DPS should be much higher. I myself should be at about 23+k on a fight this easy (i hover around 20k). I urge everyone who knows they aren't maximizing their DPS to research what they could be doing better.

Another reason why the crystal callouts are louder than the healers is b/c people are getting too close to messing up the tormented stacks for us, which will lead to a wipe if messed up.

One thing that might help fix the dps is single tanking i know its scary for a wipe but if tanks are dying its a wipe anyway

That's my stance as well. I know it's "the easy way out" to just pick a tank that's OP on this fight, but it just feels silly to be bashing our heads against a wall when having a single dodge tank would make everything come together.

And yeah, when we're 2-tanking it and loosing a tank, it'll usually be a wipe anyway (and we waste a battle rez), so might as well just do the fight with one tank. We're also less likely to lose tanks since :

1) One of our tank healing problems is that we can't pick out the tank switch from all the noise on vent (normally we can look at our frames but the amount of tank damage when we split Blaze of Glory between 2 tanks is too substantial to make reacting to frames easy)

2) We won't be splitting Blaze of Glory between 2 tanks.

Since DKs are the best option to tank the fight, would you guys want me to give it a go on thursday? I say thursday because I think we should use tuseday to try out whatever it is u guys have planned first.. I only lack an item or two from a complete tank set.. I can go back and prioritize stats too if I thought I might be needed. If we did this it would allow for 6 DPS and have sam and/or maulin and/or D working on crystal rotations which will be easier on the healers since they each wear plate, or are semi-tanks.

i don't foresee a problem for myself on this fight anymore. I have done extensive research as to how to get my stacks up right off the bat. Most logs i've studied show the druid popping tree form and getting as many stacks as he/she can on the first and second shards. I would like to try this. Just means thes and/or jenn would have to start tank healing faster but I doubt it will mean anything to your stacks in the long run.
I was all for one tank on this fight and it seems thats what a lot of guilds do. I feel like we have tried enough on the other way of two tanks.
Also, just for conversation purposes, I wanted to ask why we don't do two healers on the tanks and one healer on the shards. We do one on tank, two on shards and it seems other guilds do it the opposite way. Is that a big deal? could THAT be why tanks are dying? i honestly don't know so tell me ur thoughts.

I've heard another guild suggest 2 healers on the tank and one healer on the shard too. I'd be all for trying that.

And we can certainly start with either Thes or I healing the tanks. I actually don't know why we had you healing the tanks first anyway. Makes far more sense for you to get stacks first.
