re: Raider Expectations [NOT COMPLETE]

0
As we assume you've been reading throughout the other posts in this forum, who you are as a person is very much a part of your application for this guild and Raid Team. The same applies to applicants of the Raid Team:

What we expect from Raiders:

-Reliability: If you tell us you're going to be there, we expect you to be on-time and ready to raid for first pull. If the raid starts at 5pm server time, you're expected to be ready to pull trash at 5pm. We still stick to our end time if you'll stick to our start time.

-Preparedness: At the time of first pull, you are expected to be fully repaired, have a stack of food for the night (easily attainable from our Raider Tab by a member), have whatever flask/elixirs you need (we provide a cauldron), and have solid knowledge of the night's content. Time wasted explaining fights in full detail every night, or potential DPS/Healing/Mitigation missed due to a lack of food/flask/enchant/gemming is looked down upon.

-Versatility: Sometimes we have to switch up our plan on any given night. We ask that you be willing to try something new, or focus on something you haven't had to in the past. This also includes tweaking your spec or gear a bit to help the team get that awesome kill.

-Outside of Raids: In no way do I expect everyone to be a gold-billionaire and be able to buy the latest BoE's or crafted gear--it can get pricey. What we do expect is that you try to get your valor points each week from BH, Heroics, ZA/ZG, pugging old raids, etc. Try to get as most out of your gear as you can. There are a lot of great resources to upgrade your gear. Try to utilize all that you can.

-Growth: No one's perfect. We all make mistakes. We raid with that mentality, just so long as we learn from them. We post logs to World of Logs after each raid. It's expected that you take a look to see how you can improve for the next raid. The only way we'll progress through content is when we see progress as a cohesive unit.

-Motivation: Simple. You have to want it. =)

Applying:

1.) Click the "Apply to Guild" link on the left sidebar.

2.) Fill out the short application. Once received, you'll be tentatively accepted as an Applicant to both the guild and the website.

3.) You'll be invited to raids through the in-game calendar.

4.) Over the course of a couple weeks, Raid Leadership will look at your progress and involvement. You'll be looked at along the guidelines posted above. Raid Leadership will definitely be open about how you're doing. All feedback is considered constructive.

5.) The choice will be made if you fit into the team or not. If accepted, you'll be given your "Raid Team" rank.

Beyond the "Raid Team":

There are small bonuses to going further with your application and becoming a "Full Team Sport Member". It is not required that you become a full member, nor is staying in the "Raid Team" rank looked down upon. Subject to change:

-In our Suicide Kings system, Full Members will be suicided before a Raider on the list (when both get loot from a boss) to give full members a slight edge, but this isn't considered "raid-breaking".

-Full members have more of a say in which Raid Team Applicants get upgraded to Raider status.

If you want to continue and gain "Full Member" status, then you'll have to get your 10 "yes votes" from our members, as outlined in the "How to Apply for Full Member" post.
